 KENNEDY GIVES SPEECH, NEWS SHOCKS AUDIENCE 

Indianapolis, Indiana 

Robert F. Kennedy gives a speech that shocked the audience with news of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination on April 4th 1968. 

 

Robert F Kennedy came to Indianapolis today to deliver a presidential campaign speech, but instead he told the audience about the deppressing news regarding DR. King’s assassination. 

"What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence or lawlessness, but is love and wisdom, and compassion toward one another, and a feeling of justice towards those who still suffer within our country, whether they be white or whether they be black."

I owns mysef.”       This famous quote from the “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”, written by Mark Twain, discusses what it means to own yourself, and why it’s important.      Edgar Allan Poe's "The fall of the house of Usher" features the tortured character Rodrick usher. Edgar Allan Poe explores the ideas of isolation, curses, supernatural, and haunted characters through Rodrick Usher.
